Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead infrastructure and IT operations projects for enterprise clients across Western Europe. You will own delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams of architects and engineers, and ensure on-time, within-budget outcomes.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders at management level, drive change management, and oversee transitions to managed services, while maintaining strong governance, risk management and reporting.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of IT project management experience, with 3 years in infra or cloud projects.
• Delivery experience in at least two areas: operations automation, patch and vulnerability management, observability, virtualization or private/public cloud.
• Experience delivering projects both on premises and in public cloud; understands hybrid constraints.
• Fixed-price delivery experience with scope control and change management.
• Enterprise clients: running steering committees and managing stakeholders at management level.
• Technical literacy to discuss architecture and monitoring tooling with architects and engineers.
• Strong planning, estimation, risk management and reporting in classic, agile or hybrid models; Jira and Confluence.
• English at C1 level for meetings and client documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of assigned infrastructure and IT operations projects, including scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Maintain the project plan, responsibility matrix, risk register and reporting to client and internal stakeholders.
• Control scope against the statement of work: identify change, prepare change requests, assess commercial and schedule impact.
• Steer the project team together with the solution architect and technical leads, and manage team capacity.
• Run steering committees and status reviews, accelerate decisions and manage client expectations.
• Coordinate delivery with client change and release management, including maintenance windows and production teams.
• Manage acceptance: agree criteria, coordinate testing and secure formal sign off of delivered scope.
• Hand the delivered environment over to managed service operation, including operating model and service levels.
