Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join our Poland engineering team, building secure, scalable software for the TMF domain. This remote role offers an optional office base in Lublin and emphasizes AI-assisted tooling like GitHub Copilot and Claude.

You will fix bugs, design increments, ensure quality, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver value, while applying security‑first practices and modern UI frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft .NET / C# and Visual Studio.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, or MySQL.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, dependency injection, unit testing, and REST web services.
• Experience with React, Angular, or other modern UI frameworks.
• Exposure to Azure or other cloud PaaS services, containerisation, and distributed scalable solutions.
• Experience evaluating and adopting AI‑assisted development tools in a security‑ conscious, regulated engineering environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fixing most bugs and issues across both familiar and unfamiliar codebases.
• Architecting and building incremental additions independently, and contributing to larger solutions with guidance from an architect.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex coding issues, including race conditions, cross-threading, and intermittent data problems.
• Taking accountability for quality delivery, software maintenance, and the performance and scalability of the code you produce.
• Championing best practice in AI‑augmented development and helping shape how AI‑assisted engineering tools are used across the team.
• Working with business stakeholders to design solutions that deliver value in the Pharmaceutical TMF space.
• Adopting a security‑first approach and producing secure, maintainable software.
• Supporting third‑line investigations and partnering closely with the Lead Software Engineer to help shape the new Poland engineering team.
