LegalEASE, a legal access employee benefits company, seeks a Junior Software Developer to help build software supporting the business as it grows. Work in a highly collaborative, Agile environment, contribute to design decisions, and deliver regular increments of value.

You will participate in daily stand-ups, write maintainable code, review peers, and pursue personal growth with opportunities to learn data systems and modern frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer and information technology or a related field or relevant experience.
• Previous experience as a software developer.
• Experience creating and maintaining databases.
• Experience using at least some of the technologies required for the job.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A drive for personal growth and interest in data systems.
• Take charge in leading and instructing others to improve the skillset of the team.
• Ensure that code is being reviewed and organized.
• Ensure that development pipelines are built and maintained for CI/CD.
• Create secure systems that minimize vulnerabilities.
• Advanced knowledge of relevant programming languages and technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of system frameworks such as MVC structure.
• Advanced knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily stand-ups and other meetings such as retrospectives.
• Make progress on prioritized tasks.
• Communicate discoveries or ask questions to learn from other developers.
• Develop new features that deliver value to the end user.
• Interpret and implement tasks with end-user focus to ensure a quality experience.
• Review the code of other developers to ensure quality.
