Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking an Identity Consultant to support and improve enterprise identity services across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and hybrid environments. You will troubleshoot authentication, infrastructure, and access issues while driving automation and operational efficiency.

The role involves day-to-day independent work, incident coordination, and continuous service improvement using PowerShell and Entra Connect, with a remote-first setup in Poland.

Qualifications

• Mid-level experience supporting Active Directory and hybrid identity environments (AD / Microsoft Entra ID).
• Strong expertise in AD administration, Domain Controllers, replication, DNS, delegation, and Windows Server.
• Experience troubleshooting authentication and identity technologies (Kerberos, LDAP/LDAPS, hybrid authentication, account access).
• Knowledge of Entra Connect, synchronization concepts, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and authentication scenarios.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, automation, reporting, and scheduled tasks.
• Understanding of Identity Security best practices, Tier 0 concepts, monitoring, alert investigation, and risk mitigation.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms (Incident, Request, Problem, Change).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Active Directory environments, including users, groups, OUs, GPOs, and delegated permissions.
• Manage Domain Controllers, health checks, replication validation, troubleshooting, and FSMO administration.
• Support hybrid identity services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect synchronization, and hybrid authentication solutions.
• Investigate and resolve identity, authentication, DNS, certificate, Kerberos, LDAP/LDAPS, and access issues.
• Monitor queues, alerts, dashboards, shared mailboxes, and service requests for SLA compliance.
• Develop, maintain, and improve PowerShell scripts, reporting, scheduling, and automation tooling.
• Coordinate incidents, requests, problems, and changes through ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms; maintain runbooks and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate on complex technical challenges and identify opportunities for service improvement and automation.
