Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking an Application Support Developer in a hybrid role with flexible location options in Spain or Poland. The role supports 2nd/3rd line technical issues, maintains and enhances software, and automates workflows to ensure system stability and performance.

Location flexibility allows hybrid work from Barcelona or Warsaw, or fully remote within either country. The position emphasizes strong SQL, programming, and ITIL-aligned processes in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, debugging, and managing databases.
• Experience in application support or software development.
• Excellent communication for stakeholder management, and ability to work in Agile, ITIL-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd/3rd line support, diagnosing and resolving complex application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain, debug, and improve existing applications, often writing code to resolve issues or add minor features.
• Proactively monitor application performance, ensuring high availability, and optimizing systems for better performance.
• Support deployment, release cycles, and environment management.
• Automate repetitive tasks and manual processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation, knowledge bases, and support guides.
