Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) seeks an experienced Senior Manager of Graphics Research to lead a world-class team shaping GPU architecture, rendering techniques, and visual computing. This role blends cutting-edge research with tangible product impact and strong leadership.

You will work with RTG to transition innovations into shipping products, publish at top venues, and build a high-performance, inclusive team culture while recruiting top researchers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Lead graphics research teams and programs.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term graphics research strategy aligned with GPU roadmap.
• Lead investigation into next-generation rendering techniques including ray tracing, path tracing, neural rendering, rasterization, and hybrid approaches.
• Oversee research in GPU architecture graphics features including shader models, geometry pipelines, texture systems, and display technologies.
• Collaborate with RTG to transition research into shipping products.
• Publish and represent AMD at top-tier venues (SIGGRAPH, IEEE VR, EGSR, HPG).
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven graphics techniques such as super resolution, denoising, and generative rendering.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top-tier graphics researchers and engineers.
• Provide direct management to researchers and software architects.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
• Build an inclusive high-performance team culture and advocate for growth.
