Job summary

Ardent is seeking a GIS Project Manager to lead the DHS initiative, coordinating geospatial and IT delivery across distributed teams. This role blends strong GIS and data science knowledge with Agile project management and change leadership.

You will act as the DHS main representative, drive governance, manage risks, and report milestones while mentoring Scrum teams and ensuring successful remote collaboration in a demanding federal program.

Qualifications

PMP certification from PMI or equivalent credential.
Experience on federal government contracts of similar size and scope.
Strong command of Agile frameworks and PM best practices.
Change management, geospatial systems, data governance, and process improvement.
Ability to lead remote, geographically dispersed teams.
Familiarity with data science concepts in decision environments.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary DHS contact and lead all contract communications.
Provide expert guidance to ensure geospatial and IT project delivery.
Apply PM methodologies to plan, organize, and monitor progress toward goals.
Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and DHS representatives.
Lead Agile ceremonies, mentor Scrum teams, and refine backlogs.
Foster collaboration among geospatial scientists, developers, analysts, and leadership.
Oversee change management and governance for improved service delivery.
Track performance, manage risks, and report milestones to stakeholders.
