Job summary

PLVision seeks a seasoned QA Engineer to grow in networking testing, driving automation and rapid prototyping within a mentoring-led environment. You’ll influence solution design and contribute to presales activities while collaborating with our Architecture team on early technical decisions.

You will create test plans, validate networking components, and integrate tests into CI, ensuring robust coverage and clear defect reporting. This role offers growth across global projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software QA, network testing, or test automation.
• Strong Python and PyTest experience.
• Bash and Linux fundamentals.
• Solid knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, routing, switching.
• Experience with Git and CI tools (Gerrit, Jenkins).
• Hands-on with Docker or virtualized test environments.
• Ability to analyze logs and packet captures for issue reproduction.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated regression tests.
• Test networking functionality across virtual and physical environments.
• Validate routing, switching, network config, traffic forwarding, and failover scenarios.
• Develop automated tests using Python, PyTest, and Bash.
• Analyze logs, routing tables, interface counters, and pcap data.
• Configure Linux-, Docker-, and QEMU-based test environments.
• Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines and analyze failures.
• Report defects with reproducible steps and evidence.
• Collaborate with developers and network engineers during reviews and validation.
• Maintain concise test documentation and communicate quality risks.
