Job summary

Relativity is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing software engineering team. You will mentor engineers, shape architecture decisions, and accelerate AI-driven and data-driven development across multiple product areas.

You will drive API-first, scalable systems, leverage NoSQL data platforms like MongoDB, and integrate AI capabilities into the lifecycle and product experience. Strong leadership and hands-on coding will be essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with leadership experience
• Proven ability to hire, lead, and grow engineering teams
• Strong hands-on software development with Java, Python, or similar

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers and architects across multiple product areas
• Drive development of existing applications and new platforms with AI-driven and data-driven capabilities
• Architect API-first, service-oriented systems for scalability and maintainability
• Provide hands-on technical contribution in design, coding, and integration
• Guide adoption of modern data technologies including MongoDB and data pipelines
• Enable teams to build AI-powered features leveraging LLMs and APIs
• Allocate and validate engineering resources based on Scrum needs and priorities
• Ensure secure, scalable API design and integration patterns (REST, events, microservices)
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations
• Promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence across the team
• Represent reports in discussions on growth and opportunities
• Stay current with AI, distributed systems, and data platforms for innovation
