Job summary

Alteva RCM is seeking a full-time, remote Professional Coder E/M to maximize reimbursement through accurate coding of E&M and office procedures. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in physician coding, particularly in E/M scenarios for inpatient and outpatient services.

This position offers a salary range of $55,000 - $80,000 USD and includes a comprehensive benefits package with health, dental, vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with employer match.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years physician coding experience in E&M coding.
• Successful completion of AHIMA or AAPC program with correlating credential.
• Proficient knowledge of anatomy, physiology, CPT, ICD-10 coding, and billing.

Responsibilities

• Review and accurately code cases to maximize reimbursement.
• Meet daily production and quality goals with 95% accuracy.
• Stay current on coding guidelines and maintain credentials.

Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word

Knowledge of medical terminology

Expertise in E/M coding

Education

High School diploma (Associates or BS degree preferred)
