Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience serving as a CDI coder.
• Active credentials CCS and CCDS from AHIMA or AAPC; multiple certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DRG payor methodologies (MS-DRG, APR-DRG).

Responsibilities

• Serve as CDI coder on the client’s internal team, supporting clinical documentation integrity efforts.
• Ensure documentation reflects patient severity, risk and quality of care; write compliant coding queries when needed.
• Assist with DRG reconciliation and bridging CDI with coding functions.
