COG Research Foundation, LLC is a 100% remote employer supporting the Children’s Oncology Group. The Budget Manager will oversee budget development, bidding, and scope of work negotiations for Industry Sponsored Trials, coordinating with external vendors, the fiscal sponsor, and industry partners.

The role requires extensive experience in budgeting, formal proposals, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely financial tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of direct experience developing and negotiating clinical trial budgets and scopes of work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field, or substitute with four (4) additional years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding/proposal process with applicable vendors on projects with industry support.
• Negotiate budgets and scope prior to initiation of a trial and oversee revisions throughout the trial.
• Develop budgets and payment terms with stakeholders and obtain internal approvals.
• Negotiate budgets/payment schedules with industry partners to reflect terms and budgets.
• Manage scope of works (SOWs) for contracts aligning with budgets prior to initiation of a trial.
• Monitor budget trackers and maintain IST records and documentation.
• Provide budget reporting and strategic recommendations to leadership.
