Job summary

GuidePoint Security LLC is seeking an Associate Cloud Security Engineer – AWS for remote work in the U.S. You will support security assessments, architecture reviews, and cloud-native control implementation under senior consultants.

The role emphasizes learning, effective communication, and hands-on mentorship to grow within a leading cybersecurity consultancy. Focus areas include IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Config in AWS, with exposure to Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in cloud security or consulting.
• Familiarity with AWS security services (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config).
• Exposure to IAM, MFA, and cross-account security concepts.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud security assessments and documentation under senior guidance.
• Participate in client meetings and workshops to build consulting skills.
• Assist with AWS security assessments to identify misconfigurations and gaps.
• Document findings, recommendations, and remediation steps for deliverables.
• Help develop security roadmaps and architecture diagrams.
• Contribute to internal methodologies and reusable assessment templates.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge within the team.
