AgileEngine is seeking a Middle Application Security Engineer to drive hands-on DevSecOps across security gates in CI/CD pipelines. You will implement SAST, DAST, and SCA, tune scanners to cut false positives, and guide Java and Python teams on secure coding practices.

The role requires 3–5 years blending software engineering with AppSec, strong Python scripting, and familiarity with modern CI/CD tools. Remote and office options are available under flextime policies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial experience blending software engineering and DevSecOps/AppSec.
• Solid Python coding proficiency for automation and scripting.
• English level at upper-intermediate; able to communicate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain scripts to integrate security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Tune and configure security scanning tools to reduce false positives while delivering high-confidence alerts.
• Assist in coding and deploying automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Provide actionable code-level remediation guidance to Java and Python development teams.
