Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Middle Application Security Engineer to execute hands-on DevSecOps work across CI/CD pipeline security integration, vulnerability tooling, and automated baseline deployment within a large finance security program.

You will write Python scripts to integrate SAST, DAST, and SCA gates into pipelines, tune scanners to reduce false positives, and guide Java and Python teams on remediation with 3–5 years of combined software engineering and AppSec experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial software engineering and AppSec experience.
• Strong Python scripting for automation and tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD security tooling and vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• Proficient English (upper-intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain scripts to integrate security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Tune security scanning tools to reduce false positives and raise alert confidence.
• Assist in deploying automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Provide code-level remediation guidance to Java and Python teams.
