AgileEngine is seeking a Middle Application Security Engineer to hands-on contribute to a follow-the-sun DevSecOps pod, implementing security gates in CI/CD with Python automation. You will write and tune SAST/DAST/SCA integrations, guide secure coding practices, and collaborate with development teams to reduce false positives while delivering actionable remediation guidance in Java and Python.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong Python scripting for automation.
• Experience deploying security gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex scripting and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Write scripts to integrate SAST/DAST/SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
• Tune security scanning tools to reduce false positives and improve alert quality.
• Develop automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
