Job summary

Supply Mavericks is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our remote finance team. You will own day-to-day accounting operations, manage AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting, and partner with leadership to ensure numbers are accurate and actionable.

You will learn Zoho Books and Zoho One, implement stronger controls, and help improve cash flow, margins, and cost efficiency as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Experience with Zoho is helpful but not required.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and ownership mindset.
• Ability to learn systems quickly and implement processes.
• Experience managing day-to-day accounting operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and vendor bills.
• Manage accounts receivable and support collections.
• Create and maintain accurate customer invoices.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
• Match purchase orders, vendor bills, and payments.
• Monitor AR and AP aging.
• Assist with inventory and cost of goods sold accounting.
• Monitor gross margins and identify discrepancies.
• Support weekly cash-flow reporting.
• Maintain vendor payment schedules and terms.
• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Assist with sales tax reporting and reconciliation.
• Work with outside accountants, CPAs, payroll providers, and financial advisors.
• Identify duplicate charges, missed credits, billing errors, and unnecessary expenses.
• Build better financial processes and controls.
• Help automate repetitive accounting workflows.
• Create financial reports leadership can actually use.
• Find opportunities to improve cash flow, profitability, and financial efficiency.
