Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking an experienced ML Engineer to lead model development for a hardware-assisted security platform. The role focuses on classifier design, feature engineering, and end-to-end evaluation using CPU telemetry data.

You will collaborate with systems engineers to optimize inference, quantify models, and ensure reproducibility in production environments while supporting remote work from anywhere in Poland.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry experience in applied ML or data science.
• Strong Python proficiency and hands-on with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience designing, training, and evaluating binary or multi-class classifiers.
• Experience with tabular, time-series, or telemetry data.
• Solid understanding of model evaluation metrics and validation techniques.
• Experience with feature engineering and reproducibility of ML pipelines.
• Understanding of inference optimization (quantization/pruning) for production.
• Ability to document model decisions, experiments, and limitations.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate classifiers using CPU telemetry data.
• Perform feature engineering on hardware performance-counter data.
• Frame and label datasets; choose features and sampling parameters.
• Develop evaluation frameworks covering precision, recall, ROC-AUC, etc.
• Analyze model behavior across workloads and threat variants to improve accuracy.
• Evaluate and compare classification and anomaly-detection approaches.
• Optimize and quantize models for efficient inference on GPU/NPUs.
• Export models to production formats and integrate with runtime systems.
• Document experiments, data provenance, and model decisions.
