Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced ML Engineer to lead model development and validation for a hardware-assisted security platform. You will design, train, and evaluate classifiers using CPU telemetry data, focusing on malware detection and low-latency inference.

The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Poland. You will collaborate with lab engineers and real-time developers to integrate models into runtime systems, document experiments and decisions, and ensure reproducible,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry experience in applied ML, ML engineering, or data science.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Experience designing, training, and evaluating binary or multi-class classifiers.
• Experience with tabular, time-series, or telemetry data.
• Solid understanding of model evaluation metrics and imbalanced data handling.
• Experience with feature engineering and reproducible ML workflows.
• Knowledge of model optimization for inference (quantization, ONNX export).
• Ability to document model decisions and collaborate with software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate classifiers using CPU telemetry data.
• Frame datasets, select features, and determine sampling parameters.
• Develop evaluation frameworks (precision, recall, ROC-AUC, F1).
• Analyze model behavior across workloads and threats; iterate improvements.
• Explore inference-optimized architectures and export to production formats.
• Document experiments, configurations, and limitations for reproducibility.
• Collaborate with Lab Engineer, Real-Time Developer, and Team Lead on integration.
