Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to design medium- and high-voltage substations and related schemes. You will work on Danish installations with a Poland-based design base, contributing to infrastructure projects across Europe.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in HV power installations, proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD/PLS-CADD/Caddy++, and strong English communication. Hybrid work in Poland is available.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and design of medium- and/or high-voltage power installations.
Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, PLS-CADD or Caddy++.
Familiarity with distribution and transmission systems 10 kV–400 kV.
Very good English communication skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual and detailed designs for medium- and high-voltage substations (10 kV–50 kV).
Analyze existing installations and provide recommendations for modifications or new installations.
Apply knowledge of transformer installations (theoretical and practical).
Prepare technical documentation, including electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, insulation coordination, earthing system design, power and cable layouts, and profile drawings.
Update and maintain existing drawings and documentation.
Determine requirements for foundations and steel structures.
