Job summary

Alstom is seeking a software engineer to work on rail control solutions and onboard software systems in Katowice. You will design, develop, test and maintain software using C#, C/C++, and related tools, supporting integration and system validation.

Qualifications

Degree in software development
Understanding of C#, C/C++ and scripting language like Python/Bash
Familiarity with Cybersecurity: DTLS, TLS, cryptography keys
Experience in requirements-driven and agile software developments
Familiarity with object-oriented design, software modelling and testing
Willingness to explore new methods and tools
Ambition and accountability

Responsibilities

Contributing to the elaboration of the software specification & architecture with the software architect
Developing software components
Performing detailed design & coding of software components
Setting up the software development tool chain
Specifying, designing, preparing and performing tests and verifications
Putting software work products under configuration management
Supporting software/integration with other designers
Supporting hardware/software integration with hardware designers
