Job summary

Alstom in Katowice invites a Software Engineer to contribute to rail control solutions and onboard software systems. You will develop components, perform design and coding, and support integration across teams in a hybrid work environment.

Required familiarity with C#, C/C++, Python scripting, and cybersecurity concepts, with experience in agile development and traceability methods. You will work closely with software and hardware teams to deliver robust software.

Qualifications

• Degree in software development
• Familiarity with C#, C/C++
• Scripting languages like Python/Bash
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software specification and architecture with software architect
• Develop software components
• Perform detailed design and coding of software
• Set up the software development tool chain
• Specify, design, prepare and perform tests and verifications
• Maintain configuration management of software work products
• Support software/software integration with other designers
• Support hardware/software integration with hardware designers
• Experience with complex software and hardware architectures and associated tools (Git, EWM, DOORS)
