Job summary

Alstom in Katowice seeks a software engineer to design, develop and test onboard software for rail systems. You will work with cross-functional teams on control build design, integration and verification across software and hardware domains.

The role covers requirements-driven development, scripting, and cybersecurity basics, with a strong emphasis on architecture, testing and configuration management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of complex software and hardware architectures and related tools.
• Experience with C# and C/C++ in testing embedded software.
• Understanding of agile software development and traceability methods.
• Familiarity with security concepts (DTLS/TLS) and cryptography basics.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software specification and architecture with software architect.
• Develop software components and perform detailed design and coding.
• Set up the software development tool chain and perform tests/verification.
• Manage software configuration and support integration with hardware teams.
