Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks an experienced R&D Laboratory Technician to take full operational ownership of the Łódź laboratory. You will ensure a safe, compliant and well-organized environment supporting multiple R&D teams, handle equipment management, calibration oversight, and coordinate testing activities with stakeholders.

The role focuses on Health & Safety, laboratory management, and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and documentation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory, test facility, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and organize laboratory activities.
• Valid forklift operator license.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational ownership of the shared R&D testing laboratory in Łódź.
• Ensure laboratory readiness, equipment management, and 5S compliance.
• Coordinate testing activities, balancing priorities and capacity.
• Manage calibration, maintenance, and lifecycle of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain procedures, work instructions, and operational documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and laboratory performance.
• Collaborate with R&D teams, logistics, HSE representatives and suppliers.
