Job summary

Hitachi Energy Poland is seeking an R&D Laboratory Technician in Łódź to take full operational ownership of the shared R&D testing laboratory. You will ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient environment supporting multiple R&D teams, managing readiness, access control, 5S, and calibration coordination.

You will collaborate with R&D, logistics, and HSE to improve procedures, equipment lifecycle, and testing throughput, while maintaining training records and safety programs for all users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
• Experience in a laboratory, test facility, manufacturing, or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
• Understanding of equipment calibration, maintenance, and compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day laboratory operations, including access control, readiness, and 5S compliance
• Coordinate test activities balancing priorities, resources, and capacity
• Manage laboratory equipment inventory, calibration, maintenance, and lifecycle
• Create, maintain, and improve laboratory procedures and documentation
• Drive safety and efficiency improvements in laboratory operations
