Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. in Lodz invites an R&D Engineer specializing in electrical transient simulations. You will work on medium voltage transformer and power converter technologies within an international team, driving design validation from concept through testing and product launch.

You will model transient behavior, analyse system performance and support quality and risk management activities, contributing to safer energy solutions.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering with R&D experience.
• Strong background in distribution system and transformer transient analysis.
• Experience with grid-connected power converters and modelling.
• Proficient in MATLAB and Python; familiarity with circuit simulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement design rules for transformer and converter applications.
• Create and validate medium- and high-frequency models for performance analysis.
• Collaborate with customers during specification to meet requirements.
• Provide technical support to quality departments.
• Study overvoltage phenomena and transient effects on electrical systems.
• Use FEM and Matlab to analyze network resonance and reconfiguration.
• Take ownership of work packages and deliver results with structure.
• Contribute to IP and risk management activities in R&D.
