Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a domain expert in design platforms for transformers. You will bridge R&D teams with end-users to ensure robust, usable software solutions and drive new technologies for core transformer types.

You will lead self-driven R&D projects, maintain technical standards, and develop design tools. Strong English communication and experience in transformer design are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in power transformers.
• Strong experience in transformer design, testing and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of short-circuit physics in transformers.
• Experience with finite element electromagnetic analysis.
• Basic 3D CAD experience (Creo) is a plus.
• Programming knowledge in C++, Python is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Bridge R&D teams and end-users to ensure high-quality software solutions.
• Propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for core type transformers.
• Lead and manage R&D projects on time and on budget per Hitachi Energy standards.
• Maintain and develop technical standards and design tools for transformers.
• Elaborate reports, specifications, and educational materials to transfer knowledge.
• Assess production processes to identify gaps and improvements.
• Support factories with troubleshooting in the domain of expertise.
• Develop and expand stakeholder relationships with internal and external partners.
