Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks an R&D Electrical Engineer specializing in Short Circuit analysis for Power Transformers. You will bridge R&D and end-users, ensuring software tools meet high-quality and usability standards, while driving innovation in transformer design and testing.

You will lead projects, coordinate with global teams, and contribute to standards, documentation, and knowledge transfer. Fluency in English and strong technical communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in Power Transformer industry.
• Experience in power transformer design, testing, and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Short Circuit physics in power transformers.

Responsibilities

• Propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for core type transformers.
• Lead and manage R&D projects on time, budget, and quality.
• Maintain and develop technical standards and design tools for transformers.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and educational materials to share findings.
• Identify gaps in production processes and drive improvements.
