Job summary

PKC Group in Starachowice is building a new greenfield cable plant and seeks an experienced Quality Leader to design and lead the quality function from the ground up.

You will implement the IATF-aligned quality management system, establish standards and processes before production, prepare for SOP and ramp-up, and drive continuous improvement with a hands-on, data-driven leadership style.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in a quality leadership role within the automotive industry, preferably in wire / cable manufacturing.
• Proven experience in quality leadership within the cable manufacturing industry (must-have).
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, VDA, APQP, PPAP)
• Experience in compliance, certification, and authorisation processes
• Experience in greenfield/start-up environments is an advantage
• Solid expertise in problem-solving tools and quality methodologies
• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
• Leadership style: results-driven, hands-on, data-driven, execution-focused and capable of operating in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the quality function for a new greenfield cable manufacturing plant.
• Design and implement the plant quality management system in line with IATF standards - in cooperation with Regional QualityTeam.
• Establish quality standards, procedures, control plans, and inspection concepts before start of production.
• Prepare the plant for SOP, ramp-up, and serial production, ensuring readiness at each phase.
• Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.
• Lead certification and authorisation processes (e.g. IATF, customer approvals, audits).
• Manage customer quality requirements, audits, and complaints (8D, root cause analysis).
• Build and develop the quality team and laboratory capabilities.
• Drive problem-solving, corrective and preventive actions across the plant.
• Ensure supplier quality and support supplier development activities
• Monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
