Job summary

SOFTSWISS is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for its Casino Platform team in Warszawa, Poland. You will test backend services, React-based applications, and integrations, designing coverage and improving quality across the stack.

The role emphasizes automated testing using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium with Java or TypeScript, including Kafka/RabbitMQ-based workflows and AI-assisted testing approaches. Fluency in English and Russian is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in software testing across backend, APIs, and frontend.
• Experience testing React-based web applications and end-to-end user flows.
• Strong SQL skills and complex queries.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and design docs to identify quality risks.
• Test backend/frontend functionality including APIs and integrations.
• Design and execute test scenarios for new and existing functionality.
• Develop and maintain automated tests with Playwright/Cypress/Selenium using Java/TypeScript.
• Test message-driven integrations with Kafka/RabbitMQ and validate async workflows.
• Investigate defects and collaborate with developers to address root causes.
• Analyze automated test results with the Automation QA team to improve coverage.

Overview:

SOFTSWISS is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Casino Platform team. You’ll help ensure the quality and reliability of our software by testing backend services, React-based applications, integrations, and automated test solutions throughout the development lifecycle.

About Product:

The SOFTSWISS Casino Platform is the core infrastructure operators rely on to launch, manage, and scale their online casino businesses. You'll contribute to mission-critical systems covering account management, game operations, responsible gaming, and regulatory compliance, in an environment where reliability, scalability, and business impact matter, working with people who build solutions operators depend on.

Purpose of the role:

You’ll help deliver reliable, high-quality software by identifying risks early, designing effective test coverage, and validating functionality across different layers of the platform. Your work will contribute to stable product releases and continuous improvements in our quality practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Review functional requirements and technical design documents, providing meaningful feedback and identifying potential quality risks.

• Test backend and frontend functionality, including business logic, APIs, service integrations, asynchronous flows, and React-based applications.

• Design and execute test scenarios for new and existing functionality, covering functional, integration, and end-to-end flows.

• Develop and maintain automated tests using Java or TypeScript with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

• Test message-driven integrations using technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ and validate asynchronous workflows.

• Investigate, document, and track defects through to resolution, working closely with developers to identify and address root causes.

• Analyse automated test results and collaborate with the Automation QA team to improve test coverage and reliability.

Required Experience:

• B2+ level of English

• B2+ level of Russian

• Hands-on experience in software testing, covering backend functionality, APIs, business logic, integrations, and asynchronous flows.

• Experience testing React-based web applications and end-to-end user flows.

• Strong understanding of databases and hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries.

• Experience testing message-driven integrations using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers.

• Hands-on experience with test automation using Java or TypeScript, with practical knowledge of Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

• Experience using AI tools to support software testing activities.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with performance testing or collaborating with Performance QA teams.

• Experience mentoring, onboarding, and supporting the professional development of QA engineers, as well as participating in QA interviews or contributing to hiring decisions.

• Experience applying AI across different stages of the software development and testing lifecycle.
