Job summary

Workplays is seeking a QA Engineer to join a cross-functional agile team in Kraków. You will test mobile and web games, develop and execute test plans, and drive quality across UI/UX, functional and exploratory testing.

Importantly, you will craft test documentation, leverage SQL, and collaborate with POs, PMs, QA and developers to reproduce and resolve issues. The role emphasizes ownership, communication, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience testing web applications and client/server applications (1–2 years).
• Experience with writing and executing test plans and test cases (MUST).
• Familiar with SQL (MUST).
• English level: Upper-intermediate.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in any exact sciences, or QA studies; an advantage.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile (SCRUM) – an advantage.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Test mobile and web games and related features (UI/UX, Functional, Exploratory, etc.).
• Craft and follow test plans, including writing and performing test cases.
• Regression testing on existing portfolios.
• Plan and estimate test activities based on the release schedule.
• Gather information from POs, PMs, QA and development team for testing purposes.
• Manage defects: investigate, report, and track them to resolution.
• Investigate production incidents (root cause analysis and bug handling).
• Collaborate closely with the development team and other stakeholders.
