Who is Hiring in Kraków is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to safeguard mobile releases within an Agile team. You will design and maintain automated tests in Java for iOS, Android, and web, blending automation with manual exploration.

You will work with developers, BAs and Product Owners, build robust test suites using Cucumber and Selenium, and contribute to test plans, risk assessments, and clear reporting of quality status.

Qualifications

• Solid experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks with Cucumber and Selenium.
• Strong Java programming skills, with clean, maintainable test code.
• Experience automating tests on mobile devices (iOS and Android) and in web browsers.
• Experience with API testing, both manual and automated.
• Knowledge of client-server APIs, networks, environments and test data.

Responsibilities

• Design, write and maintain automated mobile tests in Java using Cucumber and Selenium.
• Develop and stabilise the automation suite and underlying frameworks behind it.
• Manual and exploratory testing focusing on usability and device-specific edge cases.

Job Opportunity: QA Automation Engineer (Java, Mobile)

Location: Kraków, hybrid model (6 office days per month)

Role Overview We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to safeguard the quality of mobile releases in an Agile delivery team. The role centres on designing and maintaining automated tests in Java, complemented by targeted manual and exploratory testing where automation is not the right tool. You will work side by side with developers, Business Analysts and Product Owners, covering a customer-facing application on iOS and Android as well as in web browsers. The team values people who spot risks early and turn test results into clear, actionable information.

Responsibilities

• Design, write and maintain automated mobile tests in Java, using Cucumber (BDD) and Selenium
• Develop and stabilise the automation suite and the frameworks behind it, improving them continuously
• Test new features and changes manually and through exploratory sessions, focusing on usability, edge cases and device-specific behaviour
• Prepare and keep up to date test cases for web and mobile, with coverage across devices, OS versions and form factors
• Carry out unit and functional testing along customer journeys, and run and report on test plans for all client-side components
• Define test approaches and coverage, highlight requirement gaps and risks, and suggest ways to mitigate them
• Log, track and retest defects in Jira, working with developers to resolve them on time and in line with agreed standards
• Share progress, risks and quality status with the team and stakeholders, and help organise QA work within the team

Requirements

• Solid experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks with Cucumber and Selenium
• Strong Java programming skills, with attention to clean, maintainable and reusable test code
• Practical experience automating tests on mobile devices (iOS and Android) and in web browsers
• Experience with API testing, both manual and automated
• Ability to design effective test cases and run them on real devices or device farms
• Working knowledge of GitHub or a similar tool, CI/CD pipelines and Jira
• Good understanding of client-server communication: APIs, network behaviour, environments and test data
• Experience testing applications where users have different roles and permissions
