Job summary

beqom is seeking a Mid-level Software Engineer in Test to strengthen quality across our QA team. You'll build and maintain the automation framework that underpins testing for a product used at scale by large enterprise customers.

You'll work closely with the Product Manager to define acceptance criteria for new features, and with fellow engineers through code review, so quality is built into every release rather than checked at the end.

Qualifications

• Must have clear, effective test case writing.
• Experience with automation testing frameworks.
• Experience testing APIs.
• Experience writing and maintaining automation tests.
• Experience troubleshooting issues and SQL.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Strong communication and collaborative team approach.

• Working knowledge of Agile software development.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer in Test to strengthen quality across our QA team. Reporting to the QA Lead and Technical Product Owner, you'll build and maintain the automation framework that underpins testing for a product used at scale by large enterprise customers.

You'll work closely with the Product Manager to define acceptance criteria for new features, and with fellow engineers through code review, so quality is built into every release rather than checked at the end.

This role is part of beqom's engineering culture, where automated verification and AI-assisted workflows are core to how we build.

What you'll be doing

• Maintain and improve the team's test automation framework.
• Build new automation tests across UI and API (and Mobile, for engineers on the Mobile team).
• Review pull requests from fellow engineers to uphold code quality.
• Partner with the Product Manager to define acceptance criteria for new features.
• Reproduce and diagnose tickets reported in production.
• Document test results for every release.

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated experience writing clear, effective test cases.
• Experience with automation testing frameworks.
• Experience testing APIs.
• Experience writing and maintaining automation tests.
• Experience troubleshooting issues and working with SQL.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team.

• Working knowledge of Agile software development.

• Experience with Git and JIRA.
• Experience with BDD/Cucumber.

• Knowledge of mobile automation testing on iOS and Android (Mobile team).
• Experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver (Mobile team).
• Experience with Appium (Mobile team).
• Experience with emulators and simulators (Mobile team).
• Knowledge of Windows Azure infrastructure and cloud/SaaS business applications.
• Native-level [INSERT LANGUAGE] in addition to fluent English.
