Job summary

R Systems in Poland is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our agile team and drive quality across cloud-based and on-premise solutions.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to design and execute automated tests using Java Selenium WebDriver, SoapUI, and TestNG, while contributing to test strategy and mentoring teammates to ensure delivery of robust software products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe).
• Automated testing design and script writing experience for enterprise applications.
• Experience with Java Selenium WebDriver.
• Knowledge of writing and running basic SQL queries for test verification.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with Client Leads.
• Ability to multi task and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work within a Scrum team to ensure a successful delivery, based on definition of done of features and user stories.
• Attend daily Scrum meetings and regular retrospectives and demonstrations.
• Participate and contribute to regular Innovation-focused cycles.
• Test analysis and design based on feature documents and other supporting documentation.
• Test creation and execution covering Functional, End-to-End, UI, Workflow, Non-Functional, and Regression testing.
• Automation of test cases based on best practice guidelines.
• Manual test execution using scripted and exploratory testing.
• Test & Defect Tracking based on Agile best practice.
• Liaise with Scrum Teams, Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, System Support teams and Clients.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer
• Experience of Agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe)
• Automated software testing design and script writing experience, preferably in an end user testing of enterprise thin client software applications.
• Experience using Java Selenium WebDriver
• Knowledge of testing tools like SoapUI, Junit, TestNG
• Experience with at least one scripting language
• Experience with BDD Testing
• Insurance Business experience and knowledge a distinct advantage
• Minimum of ISTQB Foundation Level Certificate in Software Testing or an equivalent qualification
• Practical knowledge of Relational databases (e.g. Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server) and an ability to write and run basic SQL queries as part of test verification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of working directly with Client Leads

• Test & Defect Tracking based on Agile best practice
• Liaise with other Scrum Teams, Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, System Support teams and Clients to ensure a successful delivery
• Represent the client, with a focus on functional and non-functional testing with UX central to success delivery
• Provide input to the planning, resourcing, scheduling and monitoring of project test tasks and activities for Agile projects
• Troubleshoot and analyse issues and suggest solutions/workarounds
• Demonstrate features at Sprint and PI level
• Provide mentoring and guidance to team members
• Identify and implement improvements that enhance the Test Process and improve overall Quality Assurance practices
• Contribute to evolving strategies via inspect and adapt, communities of practice and knowledge sharing sessions
