Job summary

DCG Poland is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement and maintain automated tests for backend and frontend components. You will work with Java, Cucumber, TypeScript, and Playwright to ensure robust REST API testing and data validation in an Agile setting.

You will collaborate with developers and analysts, contribute to test strategies, and utilize AI-assisted testing tools to improve quality and efficiency. The role emphasizes hands-on automation and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional QA/testing experience with focus on automation.
• Strong automation for web apps and backend services.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Cucumber and WireMock.
• Proficient in Java and TypeScript.
• Extensive REST API testing experience.
• Experience with SQL and DB validation.
• Familiarity with Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with Agile development teams.
• Knowledge of AI-based testing tools is a plus.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design, create, maintain and execute automated tests for backend services with Java and Cucumber.
• Develop frontend automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Perform automated and manual REST API testing.
• Analyse features and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual functional tests on desktop and mobile.
• Build and maintain test cases using Gherkin.
• Use WireMock for mocking and testing integrations.
• Support CI/CD test execution via Jenkins.
• Analyse test data and perform database validation with SQL.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts in an Agile environment.
• Use AI tools to support testing and daily activities.
