Job summary

DCG in Warszawa is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs in Java and frontend end-to-end tests with Playwright and TypeScript.

You will ensure thorough test coverage, identify and document defects, and collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders while contributing to CI/CD and test-process improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software testing / QA with hands-on test automation.
• Strong Java experience for API testing.
• Experience with Playwright and TypeScript for frontend tests.
• Knowledge of test pyramids and frontend testing principles.
• Familiarity with Jira and test management tools; Git basics.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Bitbucket pipelines.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs using Java.
• Create and maintain frontend end-to-end tests with Playwright and TS.
• Perform functional and regression testing on new features.
• Identify, reproduce, and document defects clearly.
• Ensure edge cases are covered and risks are identified.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and Product Owners.
• Contribute to QA processes and automation practices improvement.
• Maintain test docs and testing activities using JIRA and qTest.
• Work with Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins; support CI/CD pipelines.
