Job summary

airSlate is seeking a hands-on quality leader to manage a team of 6–10 Automation Quality Engineers and drive agentic quality initiatives. The role blends people leadership with active coding and system design, focusing on agentic QA and governance for deterministic and non‑deterministic testing.

You will shape quality architecture, mentor AQEs, evolve the Java/JS test framework (Selenium/Playwright), and partner with engineering leaders to deliver reliable agentic testing in production.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, AQE, or SDET with a clear arc toward quality leadership.
• 5+ years hands-on with Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, deep enough to design novel solutions.
• 3+ years directly managing an AQE or engineering team: hiring, performance, career development.
• Strong automation architecture chops: you design frameworks, not just write tests.
• Proven experience driving quality initiatives and leading teams through resistance to change.
• Have built and shipped agentic testing systems in production with humans in the loop.
• CI/CD integration, shift-left thinking, and quality-by-design fluency.
• English B2+

Responsibilities

• Define quality architecture and a roadmap from traditional automation to agentic solutions.
• Lead a team of 6–10 AQEs: mentoring, technical direction, and hands‑on pilots.
• Maintain and evolve the existing test automation framework (Java/JS · Selenium · Playwright).
• Design agentic QE workflows with deterministic and non-deterministic (LLM‑assisted) approaches.
• Improve observability with dashboards, flakiness detection, and CI quality gates.
• Test AI‑powered features: behavioral validation and output evaluation.
• Build internal tooling to accelerate the broader engineering org.
