Job summary

DCG is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain features within the Automated Security Retest Engine. You will enhance Python pipelines and Java Spring Boot components, integrate with external tools, and uphold secure coding practices.

Responsibilities include building REST API services, improving automated tests, and collaborating with security and product teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Strong English and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python and/or Java.
• Hands-on experience in developing backend applications and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot and standard Java development practices, or modular design in Python.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for quality and reliability.
• Strong knowledge of secure software development, including input validation, authentication, and data handling.
• Proficiency with Git and collaboration practices, including code reviews.
• Ability to analyze codebases, troubleshoot issues, and produce well-documented solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and with stakeholders.
• Good written and spoken English for technical communication.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python and/or Java
• Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining backend applications and REST APIs
• Familiarity with Spring Boot and standard Java development practices (for Java developers), or modular application design and dependency management (for Python developers)
• Practical experience in writing and maintaining automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability
• Good understanding of secure software development principles, including input validation, authentication, authorization, and secure handling of sensitive data
• Proficiency with Git and familiarity with collaborative development practices, including code reviews
• Ability to analyze existing codebases, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement maintainable, well-documented solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical stakeholders
• Good command of written and spoken English for technical communication and documentation

Nice to have:

• Experience working with both Python and Java / Spring Boot
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or developing AI-assisted workflows, including structured output validation and error handling
• Familiarity with application security testing methodologies, particularly DAST and SAST
• Experience with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP, Nuclei, or Semgrep
• Experience with document processing and data extraction, particularly from PDF files
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or cloud-based environments
