Job summary

DCG is expanding its team and seeks a senior backend software engineer with 5+ years of Python and/or Java experience. You will design, implement, and maintain features in the Automated Security Retest Engine, including REST APIs and Java Spring Boot components, and integrate with external tools.

You will write automated tests, troubleshoot defects, apply secure coding practices, and collaborate with security and product stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development with Python and/or Java.
• Hands-on experience in backend apps and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot (Java) or modular design (Python).
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Strong secure development practices: input validation, auth, data handling.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (code reviews).
• Ability to analyze codebases, troubleshoot, and document solutions.
• Strong English communication for technical work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features within the Automated Security Retest Engine platform.
• Develop and enhance Python-based processing pipelines and Java Spring Boot components.
• Build and maintain integrations with external tools, services, and REST APIs.
• Improve the reliability, accuracy, and quality of automated security tests and analysis.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality and stability.
• Investigate technical issues, troubleshoot defects, and implement effective solutions.
• Apply secure software development practices, including input validation, access control, credential protection, and secure data handling.
• Ensure compliance with defined security testing scopes and maintain evidence of remediation verification.
• Collaborate with security and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to improvements, and maintain technical documentation.
