Job summary

Ciklum in Poland is seeking a Python Engineer to join our cross-functional development team, building advanced AI experiences and Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines with a strong focus on performance and reliability.

You will work with PostgreSQL, pgvector, and Azure OpenAI, delivering secure Python code into our Azure DevOps environment while collaborating with senior engineers in a fast-paced, embedded agile setup.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Computer Science, ML, or related field.
• Proven practical ML engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python and vector databases (PostgreSQL, pgvector).
• Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and using LLM APIs.
• Familiarity with Azure ecosystem, Git, and CI/CD deployment.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Implementation: Build and deploy hybrid retrieval mechanisms with pgvector and BM25.
• Grounding & Integration: Implement grounding and citation modules with regression testing.
• Testing & Regression: Develop end-to-end tests and CI/CD regression harnesses.
• Collaboration: Work with Senior Engineers and Architects in daily pair programming and agile ceremonies.
• Optimization: Write clean Python code with sub-4.5s latency targets in enterprise env.
