AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to design and scale an event-driven integration platform, including APIs and AI-facing integrations.

You will work on durable event logs, REST/OpenAPI interfaces, and a scalable pipeline with Kafka, AsyncAPI contracts, and GenAI-assisted development. You’ll collaborate across squads to ensure reliability, performance, and clear trade-offs in distributed systems.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of production Python experience with typed, tested services and APIs.
• Strong experience with event-driven and asynchronous architecture including messaging, durable logs, retries, and backpressure.
• REST API design and practical OpenAPI experience; willing to work to AsyncAPI contracts.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming platform.
• GenAI-assisted development; familiarity with AI coding agents in daily workflow.
• Solid CI/CD pipelines, testing (pytest), Linux, Git and containers.

Responsabilités

• Build and evolve a Python service handling an event taxonomy and a durable replayable event log.
• Design and maintain contract-first interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Create the correlation and decision layer to trigger ITSM actions from signals.
• Develop platform resilience mechanisms to handle degraded upstream systems.
• Support multiple access patterns: fire-and-forget, submit-and-poll, webhooks, and streaming ingestion.
• Own end-to-end quality: code reviews, testing, observability, and production support.
