AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Developer to build and scale an event-driven integration platform with APIs, resilience, and AI-facing integrations.

You will work on a durable event log, contract-first interfaces, and an architecture that supports multiple consumption patterns across distributed systems. Expect to engage in GenAI-assisted development, drive testing discipline with pytest, and collaborate with a global team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production Python experience with typed, tested services and APIs.
• Strong event-driven, asynchronous architecture knowledge.
• REST API design experience and OpenAPI; AsyncAPI contracts awareness.
• Experience with Kafka or equivalent streaming platform.
• Familiarity with GenAI-assisted development and AI coding tools.
• Solid testing discipline (pytest), CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Git and containers.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a Python service handling event taxonomy and durable replay logs.
• Design contract-first interfaces using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Implement correlation and decision logic for ITSM actions, ensuring exactly-once delivery.
• Develop platform resilience and multi-pattern access (webhooks, poll, stream).
• Create event type registry and self-service onboarding for teams.
• Build GenAI-facing surfaces and tool-calling interfaces for safe usage.
• Modernise legacy integrations with managed deprecation paths.
• Own quality end-to-end: code reviews, testing, observability, production support.
