Sony Music Entertainment’s Global Finance Shared Services Centre in Warsaw supports transactional PTP activities for European entities. The role involves vendor maintenance, payment processing, and invoice handling with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of AP processes: Vendor Master, Payments, Invoices.
• Strong problem solving and proactive attitude.
• Able to manage multiple mailboxes and meet strict deadlines.
• MS Office proficiency; SAP, Basware and Console a plus.

Responsibilities

• Vendor maintenance: support outsourced provider and act as SME contact for issues.
• Payment processing: ensure timely payments across vendor types with controls.
• Invoice processing: ensure timely invoicing with correct postings.
• Reconciliations: monthly open PO accruals across systems; support interface issues.

The team delivers end-to-end finance services across a wide scope of activities, ensuring suppliers and artists are paid accurately and on time for the incredible work they create. By partnering closely with local finance teams across the globe, GFSS has a strong understanding of how the business operates and contributes directly to Sony Music achieving its annual goals.

As part of the PTP talent pool, you may be considered for future PTP Analyst opportunities. In these roles, you would support transactional PTP activities for Sony Music Entertainment’s European entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You would collaborate closely with our PTP outsourced provider, internal business stakeholders, and local finance teams, contributing to smooth and efficient finance operations.

The GFSS team is based in our modern workspace at the Elektrownia Powiśle centre in Warsaw.

What You’ll Do

Vendor Maintenance

• Support outsource provider in successful & accurate completion of vendor master tasks.
• Point person for SME business or local finance escalations & trouble shooting – liaising with stakeholders to resolve issues successfully.

Payment Processing

• Ensure all payments for all vendor types (royalty, trade, intercompany) are on schedule & in line with expectations. Collaborate with Outsource provider & local finance team, to complete tasks.
• Facilitate urgent payments, ensuring defined controls are maintained, liaising with local finance, SME business & outsourced provider as appropriate.

Invoice Processing

• Processing all invoices on timely basis with the correct accounting to the systems.

Reconciliations

• Open PO accrual reconciliations between internal Marketing & Recording Purchasing system (PRS), Basware (AP system) and SAP (GL); monthly for Basware - daily for PRS.
• Support outsource provider in resolving any system interface issues & ensure all systems in synch

System Support

• Perform user testing for system changes, as required.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• Having knowledge of AP operations such as Vendor Master, Payment, Invoicing processes
• Problem solving ability
