Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Project & Site HSE Specialist to supervise crane construction yards within BU Horizontal & YardSupply. You will implement HSE policies, lead incident investigations, and conduct site inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operations on-site and at customer sites.

Based in Poland with up to 50 days of international travel annually, you will work with cross-functional teams and subcontractors to drive continuous HSE improvements and deliver robust safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in an HSE role.
• At least 5 years of experience in HSE within crane/shipyard/offshore or industrial plant construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in HSE or engineering and recognized HSE qualification.
• Fluency in English at B2 level.
• Well-organized and self-driven with proactive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute HSE policies and procedures at project and customer sites.
• Lead site-level incident investigations and reporting.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Support site organization in conducting site HSE inductions, training, and toolbox talks.
• Support site organization in managing and handling HSE observations

Job Description

Project & Site HSE Specialist would be involved in HSE supervision of crane construction yards within BU Horizontal & YardSupply organization, performing on-site inspections & administrative tasks with main duties as listed below:

• Implement and execute HSE policies and procedures on crane erection sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Support site organization in managing and handling HSE observations.
• Support site organization in conducting site HSE inductions, training, and toolbox talks.
• Support site organization in implementing local legal requirements.
• Support site organization in practical implementation of HSE corrective actions.
• Lead site-level incident investigations and reporting.
• Support Project, Site & HSE teams in complex projects or escalated incidents.
• Advise site management and workers on HSE compliance and best practices.
• Cooperation with Port Solutions HSE organization, site management & subcontractors.
• This is a partially on-site work (30/70 - site/office on daily basis) in different weather conditions.

Primary responsibilities:

• Implement and execute HSE policies and procedures at project and customer sites.
• Support site organization in conducting site HSE inductions, training, and toolbox talks.
• Support site organization in managing and handling HSE observations
• Support site organization in implementing local legal requirements
• Support site organization in practical implementation of HSE corrective actions

Supporting responsibilities:

• Support Project & Site HSE Team in complex projects or escalated incidents.
• Advise site management and workers on HSE compliance and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in an HSE role.
• Well organized & self-driven person.
• Fluency in English - minimum B2 level.
• At least 5 years of experience in an HSE role within crane / shipyard / offshore business or industrial plant construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in HSE or an engineering discipline, recognized HSE qualification.
• Ability to work effectively as a part of a cross-functional team in subcontracted business.
• Pro-active attitude, ability to set goals & targets.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills - ability to monitor and influence operations of external partners.
