Job summary

Konecranes moves what matters. We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment professional to join our Poland team in Katowice.

You will maintain the Management Systems (OHSAS18001/ISO45001/ISO14001) and ensure compliance with local laws while supporting continuous improvement across operations. You will lead internal and external audits, investigate incidents, provide training, and share lessons learned with management and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified to or working towards local Diploma level in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a safety role and working to OHSAS18001 practices.
• Proficient in English and Polish.
• Willingness to travel 50/50.
• Strong safety advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Management Systems (OHSAS18001/ISO45001/ISO14001).
• Ensure compliance with local laws and corporate standards.
• Manage health and safety audits and inspections.
• Conduct incident investigations and share lessons learned.
• Provide employee HSE training.
• Support international safety projects.

Job Description

Scope of responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

• Maintenance of the Management Systems (OHSAS18001/ ISO45001 and ISO 14001)
• Local legislative and corporate compliance
• Monthly reporting
• Management of the health and safety system ISO

Country Level Responsibilities:

• HSE reporting on the performance of the Management System and continuous improvement objectives;
• Review of local legislation and ensuring compliance
• Managing the Internal and external HSE Audit Programs, conducting Health & Safety inspections, audits and surveys / assessments
• Supporting and managing incident and near miss investigations and reporting, providing feedback, lessons learned and best practices to management and all employees
• Implementing Corporate Minimum HSE Requirements, Roadmaps, and other corporate HSE policies and initiatives
• Manage local HSE policies, standards and procedures
• Provision and supporting of employee HSE training
• Visiting customers and suppliers as required to confer on specific HSE issues
• Contributing to and/or planning and executing safety related projects (also international)
• Initiating and developing various forms of popularization of safety issues

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Qualification: Qualified to or working towards local Diploma level on Occupational Health and Safety Management as a safety professional
• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a safety professional role and working to OHSAS18001 Occ. H&S management system practices
• Proficient in English and Polish is a must
• Strong and passionate voice for safety
• Knowledge of applicable laws
• Ability to plan, organize and provide internal training;
• Ability to self-initiate actions, decision making, overcoming problems;
• Aesthetic sense, attention to detail, initiative and proactiveness in activities
• "Can do" attitude and ability to build good relationships with suppliers, clients and colleagues
• Open to business travelling (50/50)
