Job summary

PIAP Space Sp. z o.o is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead technical projects in the space sector from its Warsaw office.

You will plan, coordinate, and manage multidisciplinary teams to meet financial targets, schedules and customer expectations. The role requires a technical degree and at least 3 years of project management experience, with strong English communication and proficiency in MS Project.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering technical projects.
• University degree in a technical field (Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or Astronautics).
• Very good command of English (B2) for documentation and international communication.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and MS Project.
• Strong analytical and business-oriented thinking skills.

• Managing projects within the Company's areas of activity.

• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with financial objectives, project schedules, and customer expectations.
• Maintaining project documentation and reporting on the progress and status of ongoing projects.

• Identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with project delivery.
• Coordinating the acceptance of completed project work and deliverables.
• Participating in procurement processes related to project execution.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, partners, and subcontractors.
• Preparing substantive contributions to proposals.

Main Responsibilities

• Managing projects within the Company's areas of activity.

• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with financial objectives, project schedules, and customer expectations.
• Maintaining project documentation and reporting on the progress and status of ongoing projects.
• Monitoring project execution and contributing to the preparation of reports and presentations.
• Monitoring project budgets and expenditures.
• Identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with project delivery.
• Coordinating the acceptance of completed project work and deliverables.

Requirements:

• University degree in a technical field (Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or Astronautics preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering technical projects.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Very good command of English, enabling the preparation of documentation in English, delivering presentations, working on a daily basis in an international team, and maintaining ongoing communication with customers (suggested level: at least B2).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• Ability to manage project risks and budgets.
• Strong analytical and business-oriented thinking skills.
• Ability to set priorities and assign responsibilities in order to achieve project objectives.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice to Have:

• Professional experience in the space or aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of the space or aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of ECSS and AS 9100 standards.
• Experience working with task management systems such as JIRA or GitLab.
