Job summary

DGS Diagnostics is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead strategic improvement initiatives across local and global Operations. The role blends end-to-end project management with Lean expertise, identifying opportunities, engaging stakeholders, and driving sustainable changes in a regulated medical device environment.

You will work with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering to deliver measurable benefits, Kaizen events, and value-stream improvements, while

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Project Management, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or operational development in manufacturing.
  • Proven experience delivering CI initiatives with measurable business results.
  • Experience using Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Facilitation, Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving, Process Optimization, and Data Analysis.
  • Experience across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a structured and execution-focused approach.
  • Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and challenge status quo constructively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Operations projects from initiation to benefit realization.
  • Establish project charters, governance structures, timelines, resource plans, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Drive project execution while ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate decision-making, remove roadblocks, and escalate risks when necessary.
  • Ensure effective handover of implemented solutions to business and process owners.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping workshops, process mapping sessions, and improvement activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and support the development of practical corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve flow, shorten lead times, and increase productivity.
  • Apply Lean principles and Continuous Improvement practices across operational projects.
  • Collaborate with site leaders, managers, operators, and global stakeholders to drive alignment and successful implementation.
  • Act as a change agent, supporting teams through transformation initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Track project outcomes, including productivity gains, cost savings, quality improvements, and other agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure solutions are standardized, documented, sustained, and continuously optimized.

At DGS Diagnostics, we are committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement. To strengthen our Operations organization, we are looking for a driven and hands-on Project Manager who will lead strategic improvement initiatives across local and global Operations.

This role combines end-to-end project management with practical Lean expertise. You will identify improvement opportunities, engage stakeholders across functions and sites, and drive sustainable changes with measurable business impact.

Working closely with teams across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering, you will help shape a culture of Continuous Improvement while ensuring compliance, quality, and operational efficiency in a regulated medical device environment.

It would be great if you have:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field;
  • Around 3-5 years of experience in Project Management, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or operational development within a manufacturing environment;
  • Proven experience delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives and measurable business results;
  • Practical experience using Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Facilitation, Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving, Process Optimization, and Data Analysis;
  • Experience working across multiple functions and stakeholder groups;
  • Professional working proficiency in English;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a structured and execution-focused approach;
  • A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset;
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities;
  • Confidence in leading workshops, meetings, and cross-functional initiatives;
  • The ability to influence without formal authority and challenge the status quo constructively.
Nice to Have:
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent practical Lean training;
  • Project Management certification (PMI, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent);
  • Experience in a global manufacturing organization;
  • Experience supporting production transfers, process changes, system implementations, or operational transformation projects;
  • Experience from regulated industries such as medical devices, electronics, automotive, or similar manufacturing environments.
