Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group is hiring a Project Manager for our Abatement Team in Poznań. You will drive CAPEX projects from concept to completion, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, and ensure documentation and budgets are managed effectively.

The role involves significant travel across Europe, and occasional visits to North America and Asia to oversee implementations and troubleshooting. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of industrial project management, an engineering degree, and strong

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in project management within an industrial environment.
  • Engineering degree with notable mechanical background.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial mindset, decisive, well organized.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with Prince2 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to CAPEX projects from concept to hand-over and aftercare.
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on projects; ensure clear team and stakeholder communication.

  • Evaluate technical solutions and involve the right people for quality.

  • Travel up to 80 days/year; visits suppliers and production sites in Europe, North America, Asia.

What you will be doing:
  • Contribute to CAPEX investment projects from concept to hand-over and aftercare (including design review).
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on projects, ensuring clear communication within the team, suppliers and with stakeholders.
  • Prepare requirement specifications, time schedules, and tender materials in cooperation with internal teams.
  • Evaluate and provide technical solutions, involving the right people to secure quality and relevance.
  • Monitor project delivery, equipment manufacturing, and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, supporting a customer-centric approach.
  • Take responsibility for project economy, ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed budget tolerance – and escalative major deviations.
  • Foster team collaboration and teambuilding throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Although your new desk will be in the Nowy Rynek building in central Poznałn, Poland, you will often travel primarily in Europe but could also be around North America and Asia – mostly to visit suppliers and international production sites to oversee equipment implementations and drive troubleshooting.
  • You can expect to travel up to 80 days per year, with trips varying from just a couple of days to a few weeks at a time.
What you bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in project management in an industrial environment.
  • A degree in engineering combined with a noteworthy background within mechanical engineering.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Commercial mindset, decisiveness, and good organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, English fluency (spoken & written).
  • Negotiation skills and a structured approach to problem solving.
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks such as Prince2 is a plus.
