Job summary

ROCKWOOL International A/S in Poznań is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create 3D and 2D drawings and integrate with production lines. You will work on existing lines and new projects, collaborating with engineers across Europe and North America, and travel occasionally to HQ in Denmark and other sites.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience in mechanical design (Inventor) with strong 3D and 2D drafting, data management in Vault, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years of experience as Mechanical Designer with focus on mechanical 3D constructions (preferably Inventor).
• Complex 3D mechanical designs and workshop drawings in Inventor; 2D drawings in AutoCAD.
• Data management in Vault or similar PDM system.
• Experience within NavisWorks, Plant 3D, ReCap would be an advantage.
• Systematic handling of drawing versions, distribution of drawings with security in mind.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Quality- and result-oriented with a high standard in deliveries.
• Structured mindset and good cooperation skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing of machines and devices (development of existing lines and designing new ones).
• Preparation of technical drawings, models and documentation (reference to mechanical directive).
• Creating and maintaining mechanical design standards and standardized solutions for future projects.
• Data management in Vault.
• Support during assembling and commissioning of lines (including business trips to our factories locations).
• International cooperation with Projects Engineers and Project Managers.

What you will be doing

As Mechanical Designer your assignments can vary from making mechanical designs in 3D and 2D workshop manufacturing drawings to large assembly layouts for full production lines. You will be both working on tasks assigned to you and be part of bigger team in large new and upgrading factory projects on a global scale – mainly in Europe and North America. Due to international organization, candidate needs to be willing to travel, at very beginning to Denmark to headquarters, later for projects tasks (few times per year). There may be a need to be able to obtain visa for US and Canada. Candidate should have active driving licence.
