Job summary

ZF Group in Wroclaw seeks a Project Controller Air Supply to act as a financial partner across project teams, ensuring transparency, identifying risks, and supporting decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

You will influence project profitability, oversee financial health from creation to production, and collaborate with finance and stakeholders in a dynamic, analytical role. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in accounting, reporting or controlling.
• Familiar with IFRS and at least two controlling areas (M&L, Material, R&D, Sales, Quality Cost).
• Open source mentality to exchange know-how within BB & PjC team.
• Very good knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent English; German will be a plus.
• Be authentic – quirky is an asset.
• Managerial courage; not shy – ask questions and stay curious.

Responsibilities

• Drive project team toward financial targets and identify risks at an early stage.
• Critically review commercial contracts for volume, productivity, FX, and raw material clauses.
• Ensure clear ownership of project financials within the team.
• Evaluate economic health of projects from creation phase to start of production.
• Ensure economical project choices and accurate projections for approvals.
• Identify risks early and support mitigation activities.
• Drive informed decisions by escalating when necessary.
• Track change requests and push for maximum customer reimbursements on milestone invoicing.

What you can look forward to as Project Controller Air Supply (m/f/d)

• Drive project team towards committed financial targets, anticipate & identify potential FCM, GMP, M-ROCE drops in an early stage, and support initiatives in case of cost gaps;
• Critical check of commercial customer & supplier contracts (volume & productivity clauses, FX & Raw material clauses, etc.);
• Ensure that responsibilities and ownership of project financials are clearly defined in the project team;
• Evaluate proactively the economic health of projects in the creation phase and until the start of production;
• Ensure the project team selects the most economic solutions, ensure that project approval is based on accurate economic projections;
• Identify risks early, support project team in identifying, implementing, and tracking mitigation activities;
• Drive decision-making by asking the right questions, driving escalation via product line or via Finance function if necessary;
• Ensure accurate tracking of change requests (costing/pricing) within the project (change of requirements) & Push for maximum customer reimbursements by ensuring that invoicing is triggered when milestones are achieved.

Your Profile as Project Controller Air Supply (m/f/d)

• Experience: minimum 2 years in accounting/reporting/controlling, familiar with IFRS, at least two out of key Controlling areas (M&L, Material, R&D, Sales, Quality Cost);
• Escalate early in case of deviations whilst maintaining a good relationship with team members based on mutual respect;
• Open source mentality to exchange know-how within BB & PjC team;
• Very good knowledge of Excel;
• Fluent English, German will be a plus;
